Services Provided

I currently offer individual counseling for older teens (16 and up), adults and couples. My treatment specialization includes: depression, anxiety, grief & loss, relationship issues, coping skills, self-esteem issues, parenting, and divorce recovery. In individual counseling, I provide a comfortable and supportive atmosphere. My goal is to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each of my clients' individual needs to help attain the personal growth they’re striving for.

I also offer career testing and psychological evaluations for bariatric weight loss procedures.

I am a Gottman trained counselor. The Gottman Method for couples' therapy is a research based approach. It begins with an assessment process consisting of individual interviews and online assessments designed to provide the couple with feedback regarding their relationship. From there, I tailor an individualized treatment plan based on the couples' needs. The goal of Gottman Method couples' therapy is to increase intimacy, respect, and affection while decreasing conflict. My job is to help couples uncover the root of the conflict, identify any issues that keep them stuck in negative patterns, and learn more effective ways of managing conflict.

Sometimes couples choose to schedule sessions longer than one hour in length. This more intensive couples' therapy sessions are typically 2 - 4 hours in length and can be more effective than traditional one hour sessions because we are able to cover much more ground per session.

Couples' counseling is designed for people who are both willing to attend and commit to making changes in the relationship. I have completed the following Gottman training: Level 1, Level 2, Level 3 (Practicum), Treating Affairs and Trauma, Working with Complex Couples, and The 7 Principles for Making a Marriage Work.

I am not trained to work with, nor do Gottman Methods support couples work where domestic violence, serious drug/alcohol addiction, or abuse is present. Therefore, clients with these needs will be referred to appropriate resources within the community.
